This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead and conduct Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) projects for state and federal agencies, institutional clients, and corporate organizations.

• Provide technical evaluations of existing facilities for owners, facility managers, lenders, buyers, and investors.

• Oversee multi-person FCA teams by offering guidance and support, monitoring work progress, and addressing any issues that arise.

• Engage with client representatives on-site and coordinate team schedules and responsibilities effectively.

• Take part in client and account management activities, including pre-bid meetings, shortlist interviews, and project initiation meetings.

• Create project plans and timelines while communicating project objectives and deliverables.

• Execute walk-through inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.

• Conduct interviews with facility managers, property owners, occupants, site personnel, and local government representatives.

• Document property conditions and physical deficiencies using representative and detailed photographs.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in mechanical and electrical systems.

• Prepare Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) and Property Condition Assessment (PCA) reports, including cost estimates and multi-year capital expenditure plans.

• Travel frequently, both during the day and overnight, up to 60% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial building evaluation or commercial design.

• General knowledge of site work, structural systems, building envelope, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems.

• Minimum of 5 years of building evaluation experience.

• Proficient in writing Facility Condition Assessment Reports.

• Experience in facility capital planning.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

• Currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Preferred professional registrations or technical certifications.

• Multidisciplinary knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or site utilities is preferred.

• Experience with conducting ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 energy audits is preferred.

• Government clearance is preferred where applicable.

• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

• Certification for lift operation is a plus.
