Facilities Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee a national facility maintenance and equipment program.

• Supervise a expanding multi-state facilities program, potentially managing Facilities Managers and Technicians.

• Conduct maintenance audits across all restaurants and establish a comprehensive facilities database.

• Identify and prioritize the needs of restaurants while developing an implementation timeline.

• Manage preventative maintenance efforts for all restaurants.

• Prequalify, select, and oversee suppliers, contractors, and equipment installers.

• Provide weekly status updates and progress reports utilizing Ecotrak data.

• Own the Ecotrak CMMS as the sole system of record for work orders, invoicing, proposals, and vendor communications.

• Triage incoming work orders daily and guide restaurants regarding responsibilities and simple solutions.

• Create and maintain a first-level fix guide and training program for restaurant managers.

• Establish criteria for escalation, standards for response times, and an after-hours protocol.

• Support the development of new units and remodeling projects.

• Assist the Construction Manager with new unit development from pre-construction to project close-out.

• Attract, develop, and manage relationships with regional and national contractors and vendors.

• Conduct bi-annual vendor audits and site inspections.

• Build relationships with Market Partners and Regional Directors through project updates, vendor performance feedback, and facilities training.

• Act as a liaison between Construction and Operations during new store turnovers.

• Assist in conducting eleven-month punch lists for new store openings.

• Undertake other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in facilities, project management, or construction, preferably within the restaurant sector.

• Experience with multi-unit operations is advantageous.

• Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills.

• Proven capability to manage a high volume of requests through systematic processes rather than ad hoc emails.

• Proficiency in CMMS platforms is essential.

• Experience with Ecotrak is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of facilities and construction techniques, methods, and practices.

• Knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to restaurants in Washington, DC and the North, with potential travel to the Midwest.

• Ability to work hands-on while overseeing vendors.

• Capacity to manage one direct report.
