This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Formulate and implement strategic sales initiatives to meet revenue, profitability, and market expansion goals.
• Discover, assess, and secure new fabrication business prospects within designated markets and regions.
• Cultivate and enhance existing customer relationships to boost retention, satisfaction, and sales volume.
• Conduct collaborative sales calls with current TK Flat Roll sales representatives to pinpoint fabrication opportunities.
• Provide training and support for fabrication sales and convert contract sales into more lucrative fabrication projects.
• Perform customer visits, plant tours, and project evaluations.
• Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and value-driven solutions.
• Work in conjunction with inside sales and operations teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Track project progress, share updates, and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or scheduling.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while upholding targeted profit margins.
• Build and enhance networks with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and industry contacts.
• Identify and assess strategic vendor partnerships to increase capacity, capabilities, geographic presence, and competitive edge.
• Source fabrication services and solutions through relationships with vendors and industry contacts.
• Collect and communicate market insights regarding trends, competition, customer needs, and opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade exhibitions, customer gatherings, and networking occasions.
• Maintain sales forecasts, customer activity logs, opportunity pipelines, and account strategies.
• Meet sales, margin, customer acquisition, and business development performance metrics.
• Advocate for safety, quality, professionalism, and outstanding customer service.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline; relevant industry experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 7 years of experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or related fields in metal fabrication, steel processing, industrial manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• Proven track record of generating new business and enhancing customer relationships in a competitive landscape.
• Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes, including stamping, plate fabrication, welding, cutting, machining, forming, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong grasp of estimating, quoting, contract negotiation, and project management principles.
• Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain a network of vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, fabricators, and industry contacts.
• Experience in identifying and qualifying third-party fabrication resources and strategic partners.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories and customer locations.
• Capacity to work independently while collaborating with operations, engineering, estimating, purchasing, and leadership teams.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing may be required.
