
Experienced Staff Accountant – Outsourced Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing, payroll processing, accounting reviews and reconciliations, as well as reporting assistance.
• Engage in rotational assignments encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reconciliation, Compliance, and Financial Reporting.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to establish plans and measurable objectives for each rotational task.
• Assign codes to invoices for the appropriate general ledger accounts and process vendor invoices for clients.
• Retrieve and code credit card transactions, entering data into accounting systems.
• Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of vendor invoices and A/P ledgers, identifying any missing items and resolving discrepancies.
• Register new vendors and manage W-9 forms.
• Record customer payments and generate client invoices.
• Download and input revenue data from third-party applications or banks.
• Oversee and track open receivables.
• Reconcile payroll, process payroll for clients, and oversee payroll deductions and workflows.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
• Prepare periodic and year-end reports for state and federal agencies, ensuring precise W-2 reporting.
• Generate monthly financial statements and reports for clients and Boards of Directors.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent training is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a public accounting setting.
• Previous experience in payroll, payables, receivables, and reconciliation is preferred.
• Strong technological proficiency using Microsoft Office 2007 or later, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with accounting systems; QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions) and Intacct are preferred.
• Must comply with additional technology requirements communicated to selected candidates on an ongoing basis.
