This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Perform daily travel for in-person background checks to assess employment suitability for individuals needing access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
β’ Arrange and conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, and acquaintances.
β’ Execute record searches at law enforcement agencies, courthouses, educational and financial institutions, as well as medical/mental health facilities.
β’ Clearly and concisely document obtained information utilizing a government-issued computer system.
β’ Operate independently while collaborating with investigator teams and a Field Manager.
β’ Carry out fieldwork while adhering to expectations for attendance, punctuality, confidentiality, ethics, integrity, and attention to detail.
β’ Dress in professional attire and perform necessary physical activities, including driving.
β’ Must currently hold credentials with DHS.
β’ Four years of general work experience along with a high school diploma.
β’ Must possess an active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication or a Top Secret eligible clearance.
β’ U.S. citizenship is required.
β’ Active NTS (National Training Standards) certification from NIT (New Investigator Training).
β’ Applicants must live within 10 miles of Miami.
β’ Accurate and efficient typing skills are necessary (40+ WPM recommended).
β’ Capability to work across multiple computer programs simultaneously.
β’ Must be able to speak for extended durations and hear adequately for in-person and phone communication.
β’ Proficient in recording, reading, and transcribing words and numbers with a high level of accuracy.
β’ Strong grammar and writing skills are essential.
β’ Ability to interact professionally with others while maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
β’ Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, and endure prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
β’ Valid driver's license and consistent access to reliable transportation are required.
β’ Sufficient motor vehicle insurance must be maintained.
β’ Ability to work remotely under supervision and undertake TDY/remote travel ranging from 14 to 30 days away from home per assignment.
