This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
β’ Conduct interviews with individuals who are undergoing security clearances, along with their references, acquaintances, and supervisors.
β’ Carry out record searches at police departments, courthouses, educational institutions, financial organizations, and medical or mental health facilities.
β’ Compile and deliver detailed, accurate, and concise reports based on the information gathered.
β’ Work independently while collaborating with a team of investigators under the supervision of a Field Manager.
β’ Exhibit professional conduct through effective communication, sustained focus during field activities, punctuality, attendance, and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Maintain confidentiality, ethics, and integrity in all aspects of the role.
β’ Adhere to professional dress codes during work-related events.
β’ Must be a citizen of the United States.
β’ At least one (1) year of experience in Federal Background Investigations.
β’ Must possess an active federal background investigation with T5 adjudication.
β’ Four years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Active National Training Standards (NTS) certification from New Investigator Training (NIT).
β’ Capability to meet physical demands, which include lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, climbing stairs, walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and driving safely in adverse weather or nighttime conditions.
β’ Strict adherence to professional dress code at all times.
β’ Access to and ability to efficiently work from a home office.
β’ Accurate and proficient typing skills, with a recommended speed of 40+ words per minute.
β’ Valid driver's license and consistent access to reliable transportation.
β’ Adequate motor vehicle insurance coverage as required by the organization.
β’ Ability to navigate and operate multiple computer applications simultaneously.
β’ Strong verbal communication skills and auditory ability to convey information clearly in person and over the phone.
β’ Proficient in accurately transcribing words and numbers.
β’ Strong command of grammar and writing, with the ability to produce high-quality, error-free reports.
β’ Professional demeanor with the capacity to maintain focus on detail-oriented tasks.
β’ Ability to meet attendance, punctuality, and work performance standards.
β’ Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and personal integrity.
β’ Capacity for extended periods of standing and sitting.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals and personalities.

β’ Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Willingness to participate in Temporary Duty Assignments (TDY) or remote travel for assignments lasting 14 to 30 days.
