This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Deliver a seamless and compliant transition experience for seasoned financial advisors and their teams joining Thrivent.
• Create and uphold comprehensive transition plans outlining milestones, dependencies, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder responsibilities.
• Organize and lead transition kickoff meetings.
• Act as the primary operational point of contact among incoming advisors, recruiting, business development, compliance, licensing and registration, operations, technology, field leadership, and external firms.
• Monitor transition milestones, pinpoint risks or delays, escalate issues, and assist in timely resolutions.
• Keep meticulous documentation, status updates, and reporting for advisor transition activities.
• Collect advisor feedback and share insights to drive process enhancements.
• Assist the Experienced Advisor Transition Consultant with intricate cases, special projects, and improvements to transition tools, resources, and workflows.
• Ensure prompt communication and support throughout the advisor transition process.
• Aid advisors in comprehending transition steps, necessary actions, timelines, and available resources.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the transition experience, minimize friction, and boost advisor satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with business development, field leadership, relationship management, and support teams to guarantee smooth transitions.
• Coordinate deliverables such as technology setup, registration, book transfer assistance, training, and advisor readiness initiatives.
• Relay transition status, risks, decisions, and forthcoming steps to stakeholders and leaders.
• Participate in ongoing improvement efforts that streamline workflows and enrich advisor and stakeholder experiences.
• Exemplify Thrivent’s leadership competencies and promote a culture centered on continuous improvement, employee engagement, and client commitment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field is required.
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered as an equivalent.
• Over 3 years of experience in transition, project coordination, operations, talent acquisition, advisor support, financial services, wealth management, or similar business functions.
• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-step processes involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Background in coordinating cross-functional efforts and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience in delivering exceptional client, advisor, employee, or customer experiences.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed project plans, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and proactively mitigating risks.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management and customer service orientation.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty, resolve problems, exercise sound judgment, and make timely decisions.
• Capability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups and encourage shared ownership and accountability.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to adhere to policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, suggest improvements, and utilize data and feedback for informed decision-making.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project management or workflow tools.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive advisor, candidate, and business information.
• Preferred: Familiarity with advisor transition, registrations, licensing, broker-dealer operations, RIA or hybrid affiliation models, or wealth management practices.
• Preferred: Knowledge of financial advisor recruiting, advisor development, practice management, business development, or field operations.
• Preferred: Experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Preferred: Exposure to change management, program implementation, process design, or operational transformation.
