Executive Strategist, UK Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic counsel to UK public sector Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and security leaders regarding planning, threat landscapes, and proactive cybersecurity measures.

• Build and nurture relationships with essential UK government clients and decision-makers.

• Conduct executive briefings and offer independent, non-commercial guidance on cybersecurity modernization.

• Facilitate peer-to-peer engagement and knowledge-sharing platforms for UK public sector security leaders.

• Assist in forming strategic alliances with government entities in line with the Government Cyber Action Plan.

• Present at national and regional events focused on cybersecurity, defense, security, and public sector technology.

• Organize customer roundtables and advisory sessions to share strategies and threat intelligence.

• Create blogs, articles, white papers, and responses to government consultations.

• Represent CrowdStrike at parliamentary cybersecurity groups, industry working groups, and public-private partnership discussions.

• Provide briefings specific to the UK government threat landscape.

• Advise company and sales teams on engaging with the UK public sector, procurement frameworks, and security assurance criteria.

• Coach, train, and mentor sales teams, sales engineers, and partners in the UK Public Sector.

• Develop strategic engagement plans for significant government opportunities.

• Collaborate with Government Affairs, Product, and Engineering teams on policy, requirements, and product roadmap priorities.

• Support strategic partnerships with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and contribute to joint initiatives and threat intelligence sharing.

• Provide market insights on UK public sector priorities, procurement trends, budgets, and competitive landscape.

• Back the Executive Briefing Program for UK government clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• UK citizenship is mandatory.

• Must be located in the United Kingdom.

• Eligibility for Security Clearance as required.

• A proven track record in cybersecurity, including senior leadership roles within UK public sector organizations.

• Profound knowledge of UK government cybersecurity needs, NCSC guidelines, Government Security Classifications, protective monitoring, and security assurance frameworks.

• Comprehensive information security expertise across strategy, governance, risk management, architecture, and operations.

• Demonstrated experience in utilizing AI technologies to improve decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.

• Extensive technical understanding of endpoint security, XDR/EDR, cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM/log management, incident response, and threat intelligence.

• Experience in security transformation initiatives, Zero Trust architecture, cloud migration security, legacy system modernization, and security operating model design.

• Familiarity with the UK government threat landscape, including nation-state actors, ransomware groups, and insider threats.

• Established connections within the UK public sector CISO and security leadership community.

• In-depth understanding of UK government procurement frameworks and security assurance processes.

• Experience navigating UK government structures, cross-government initiatives, and public-private collaborations.

• Knowledge of UK cyber policy, including the National Cyber Strategy, Government Cyber Action Plan, defense cyber strategy, and pertinent legislation.

• Exceptional communication skills tailored for technical professionals as well as ministerial-level stakeholders.

• Proven thought leadership demonstrated through industry presentations, published articles/blogs, participation in working groups, or media engagement.

• Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders.

• Strategic thinking skills that translate technical security challenges into business outcomes.

• Credibility as a practitioner, capable of engaging as a peer with public sector CISOs.

• Comfort in providing objective, non-commercial strategic advice.

• Desirable: Previous experience as a CISO or Deputy CISO, engagement with NCSC, government incident response, stakeholder relationships, and published thought leadership.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred but not mandatory.

• Frequent travel within the UK is required, approximately 30–40%.

• Flexibility to attend government meetings, industry events, and client engagements.
