Executive Large Account Risk Control Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Manage EMC's extensive risk control portfolio for large accounts within a designated region.

• Perform risk control assessments and services for the most significant and intricate accounts.

• Ensure the effective delivery of regional risk control services, providing top-notch support to policyholders of Large Accounts.

• Offer advanced consultation and allocate risk control team members based on their expertise.

• Conduct technical on-site assessments for both current and potential policyholders across various EMC business sectors and specialized markets.

• Generate comprehensive written reports and recommendations that aid in underwriting, risk selection, and account retention.

• Identify potential loss exposures and propose strategies for mitigation.

• Communicate the impact of exposures to Underwriting, quantifying deficiencies affecting risk selection, pricing, terms, and conditions.

• Design and implement strategic service plans that tackle primary loss drivers and operational risks.

• Leverage data analysis, field observations, and teamwork to achieve measurable improvements in risk management.

• Guide clients in the implementation of service plans and customized risk control advice.

• Provide technical support through joint surveys, service-plan evaluations, and quality-control assessments of survey reports.

• Mentor less experienced Risk Control team members at the discretion of RCS leadership.

• Establish relationships with policyholders, underwriting, claims, and agents, acting as a trusted advisor.

• Engage in cross-functional meetings with Underwriting, Sales, and Claims departments.

• Advocate for Risk Control capabilities via agency involvement, client meetings, presentations, and strategic outreach efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in safety, engineering, industrial safety, fire protection, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A minimum of eight years in a risk control or safety position, or similar experience.

• Preferred certifications include ASP, CSP, and ARM.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Advanced understanding of industrial, construction, fire, and commercial automotive safety.

• In-depth knowledge of nationally recognized standards and regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and NFPA.

• Strong capacity to comprehend and assess risk.

• Excellent ability to identify and visualize potential risk exposures.

• Solid problem-solving abilities.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Self-driven and exceptionally organized.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with others as well as work independently.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate diverse groups.

• Travel is required, approximately 50%, including local and overnight trips.

• A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record per company standards is mandatory.
