Executive Director, Payment Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Payments Services function, encompassing operations, client delivery, and service excellence.

• Cultivate executive relationships with sponsors, CROs, and site-network clients, managing escalations and renewals effectively.

• Design service offerings and standardize processes related to investigator payments, site payments, and patient reimbursements.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on the development of the platform roadmap.

• Convert client and operational needs into actionable product requirements.

• Lead recruitment and professional growth initiatives within payment operations and client services.

• Oversee operating metrics such as payment cycle times, accuracy, client satisfaction, and service margins.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or related service sectors.

• Proven executive-level experience with complete accountability for a function.

• Experience working in an organization with fewer than 500 employees.

• Background in servicing clients from life sciences companies.

• Insight into how sponsors and CROs procure, assess, and escalate services.

• Direct experience with investigator, site, or patient payments is a plus.

• Experience in scaling a services function through substantial client growth is advantageous.

• Familiarity with both sponsor-side and vendor-side operational models is beneficial.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
