This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Engage in hands-on training for the Executive Director position.
• Cultivate expertise in managing personnel, operations, and clinical aspects.
• Take charge of community operations and serve as a liaison for staff, residents, potential residents, organizations, agencies, and the general public.
• Supervise, guide, inspire, and assist community staff.
• Provide direct care to residents and fill staffing shortages as necessary.
• Ensure resident satisfaction and retention while conducting the annual resident satisfaction survey.
• Implement proactive resident renewal initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional operations to execute annual operating and capital budgets.
• Manage occupancy targets, enhance revenue, reduce expenses, and prevent budget variances.
• Recruit, train, discipline, and terminate staff in line with company policies.
• Oversee building maintenance, grounds upkeep, property standards, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
• Ensure departmental policies, procedures, and licenses comply with applicable regulations.
• Encourage staff innovation and participate in the Resident Council.
• Promote the community's local presence and represent Brookdale in public and professional settings.
• Apply approved sales and marketing tactics to optimize occupancy.
• Assist in service plan evaluations with care teams and resident families.
• Supervise resident admissions, healthcare management, and compliance with resident documentation.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of two to four years of relevant leadership experience is necessary, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A valid administrator license is mandatory in states where applicable.
• A valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business purposes are required.
• Familiarity with the organization, industry, and relevant functional disciplines is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of technical areas acquired through experience is important.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Capability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities is required.
• Ability to appropriately delegate tasks is essential.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities are critical.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software is preferred.
• Availability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or nights as needed.
• Willingness to be on call as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.
