This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +10 more states.
• Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of Milliman’s discipline-specific forums and shareholder events.
• Manage up to 15 events annually.
• Collaborate with leadership and event chairs to establish event objectives.
• Convert business goals into event programming and attendee experiences.
• Ensure agendas align with company priorities.
• Direct venue selection, contract negotiations, Cvent registration setups, agenda creation, attendee management, catering, accommodations, staffing, and budget oversight.
• Evaluate risks, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and promote a shared understanding.
• Manage cross-functional event projects with MarCom, Global Corporate Services, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Drive timelines and execution for event communications and materials.
• Coordinate with brand and creative teams on collateral materials.
• Manage deadlines for email campaigns and the production of badges, registration sheets, signage, and other physical assets.
• Conclude events through post-event surveys, data analysis, stakeholder distribution, feedback evaluation, and recommendations.
• Comply with Firm policies and protocols.
• Suggest and implement improvements to enhance and streamline event planning processes.
• Oversee, track, and report on event budgets quarterly.
• Prepare and revise contracts, identify business terms, and negotiate with venues.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in communications, business, marketing, or a related field.
• At least 8–10 years of corporate event planning experience, specifically in leading large-scale, multi-day events.
• Extensive knowledge of event strategy, logistics, communications, analytics, and experiential design.
• Experience with both virtual and in-person events, webinars, and client-focused events.
• Familiarity with Wrike or similar project management tools, Microsoft Dynamics, Cvent, and virtual event platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional global organization.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Professional demeanor with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across various organizational levels, including executives.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail and a commitment to service delivery and audience/participant engagement.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving abilities, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and contingency planning.
