EV Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Support the installation of commercial EV charging stations while adhering to Irish electrical regulations and safety standards.

• Prepare, review, and authorize NICEIC/Safe Electric Installation Certificates.

• Assist EV Project Managers and Supervisors in compiling handover documentation for each project.

• Follow national safety standards, including Safe Electric and SEAI guidelines.

• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of installed EV chargers.

• Perform site assessments to identify optimal equipment placement and power requirements.

• Ensure compatibility with existing electrical systems and grid infrastructure.

• Help maintain compliance with warranty and insurance requirements.

• Educate customers on the proper usage and maintenance of EV charging equipment.

• Address customer inquiries and provide effective solutions.

• Diagnose and repair faults in hardware and software systems.

• Respond to service requests to minimize user downtime.

• Complete thorough service reports and keep accurate installation and maintenance records.

• Undertake other reasonable requests related to the role from the Direct Report.

⛳️ Requirements

• A FETAC / Level 6 qualification in electrical installation, or a recognized equivalent, or other recognized qualifications such as those from City & Guilds, or an equivalent European standard.

• Practical experience in electrical work and knowledge of Irish regulations, particularly the National Rules for Electrical Installations (I.S. 10101).

• Irish SafePass or equivalent certification.

• Proven experience in electrical installations, preferably within EV charging systems or renewable energy sectors.

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical and software-based systems.

• Full, clean driving license (B Category).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• A proactive and self-motivated work approach.

• Commitment to sustainability and clean energy initiatives.

• First Aid Certificate (desirable).

• Previous experience working with ESB and grid connections (desirable).
