ETL Developer, Python – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain data integration and automation solutions using Python.

• Create and maintain ETL processes, batch-processing, and file-based workflows.

• Construct reusable tools and utilities for data processing, validation, and reconciliation.

• Automate the validation of both inbound and outbound data feeds.

• Develop comprehensive automation for file ingestion, backend processing, database results, and downstream outputs.

• Create SQL-based validation and reconciliation processes for data.

• Engage with REST APIs and system integrations as part of end-to-end processing workflows.

• Incorporate automated processing and validation into CI/CD workflows.

• Diagnose issues across application code, data, files, databases, APIs, and processing environments.

• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and engineering delivery.

• Work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevOps, and other engineers to convert business and integration requirements into dependable software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development or engineering.

• Proficient hands-on experience in Python development.

• Familiarity with ETL, batch processing, data integration, or data-intensive applications.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database systems.

• Knowledge of structured data files, data transformations, or file-based integrations.

• Experience with Git and contemporary software development practices.

• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within an agile engineering team.

• Candidates must be located in the US.
