This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the quotation and cost-estimating processes across all manufacturing facilities in the U.S.

• Create timely and precise quotations for CNC machined components and assemblies at various U.S. sites.

• Analyze RFQs, drawings, specifications, purchase history, CAD models, and relevant documents to establish cost assumptions.

• Assess labor, machine time, materials, tooling, inspection, outside processing, packaging, freight, and value-added services.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and program management to confirm processes, costs, lead times, and risks.

• Input and manage quote data, assumptions, revisions, and status updates in Epicor ERP or similar systems.

• Assist in quote reviews, NPI alignment, make-versus-buy assessments, customer clarifications, and strategic business development initiatives.

• Operate independently in a fast-paced remote quoting environment.

• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noises in the plant; hearing protection may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 5 years of estimating experience in a CNC contract manufacturing setting.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Epicor ERP or other comparable manufacturing ERP systems.

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain is highly preferred.

• Background in supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated industries is preferred.

• Proficient in advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.

• Strong knowledge of CNC milling, CNC turning, Swiss machining, materials, heat treating, plating/coating, passivation, painting, anodizing, testing, certifications, and secondary/outside processing.

• Capability to evaluate customer, aerospace, military, commercial, and industry specifications and convert requirements into manufacturing cost estimates.

• Proficient in reviewing CAD models; experience with SolidWorks is preferred.

• Familiarity with cost modeling, capacity analysis, profitability assessments, and multi-site manufacturing organizations.

• High attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple RFQs concurrently while adhering to tight deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective cross-functional collaboration.

• Self-driven, accountable, customer-centric, and adept at working independently in a remote setting.

• Possess a sense of urgency and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume quoting environment.

• Maintain a professional and productive home office environment.

• Flexibility to assist customers, suppliers, and internal teams across various time zones as required.

• Capable of managing shifting priorities and customer demands while ensuring accuracy.

• Regularly required to sit or walk throughout the workday and perform repetitive hand movements for computer tasks.

• Requires close vision, including 20/20 vision or corrected vision to 20/20.

• U.S. person status is required under ITAR regulations: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or U.S. national.
