This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collect project details and requirements while establishing priorities.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and production cost estimates.
• Analyze and interpret construction drawings.
• Formulate construction budgets by reviewing plans, updating specifications, and forecasting costs.
• Assess purchase offers by evaluating changes, additions, and site requirements.
• Acquire bids from vendors and subcontractors by detailing materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
• Keep cost keys and price masters up to date.
• Resolve cost discrepancies by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Create special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Ensure quality service in accordance with organizational standards.
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs among corporate, division, and local teams.
• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
• Collaborate with Project Management to develop proposals.
• Work alongside Construction Management to establish production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequences.
• Contribute to team efforts and associated outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required; 8+ years is preferred.
• Experience in concrete estimating is mandatory.
• A strong focus on quality is essential.
• Experience with tilt-up and commercial flatwork is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary.
• Robust budget and documentation skills are required.
• Experience in vendor relationship management is important.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling is essential.
• Ability to develop and manage teams effectively.
• Capability to identify and resolve complex issues while making sound decisions is required.
• A current driver’s license is necessary.
• Willingness to travel less than 25%, with potential travel to meetings and job sites as needed.
• Must pass a physical exam.
• Must be a US Citizen.
