Estimating & Design Lead – US Commercial Landscaping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Analyze site plans, specifications, and photographs to accurately determine the scope of landscaping and maintenance tasks.

• Create cost estimates that encompass materials, plants, labor, equipment, and project timelines.

• Efficiently transform quote requests into delivered proposals, ensuring that most are dispatched within 72 hours.

• Monitor each estimate from the initial request through to delivery and follow-up using the CRM system.

• Offer landscape and design expertise for proposals, including plant selection and layout planning.

• Identify incomplete or inappropriate scopes and anticipate client inquiries.

• Actively assess strong-fit properties for inclusion in the cold quote system.

• Collaborate with onsite sales teams, estimators, and field leadership.

• Assist in site visits by providing property research, historical scopes, photographs, and notes.

• Ensure accountability throughout the process from quote request to proposal delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, or landscape architecture.

• Proficient in interpreting site plans, specifications, and property details, and converting them into scope and cost estimates.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English at a professional business level.

• Availability to work during core U.S. business hours.

• Comfortable with performance and quota expectations, even without a background in sales.

• Educational background or experience in architecture, landscape architecture, or design is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with commercial landscaping or maintenance contracts is a significant plus.

• Experience with estimating software, CRM systems, or design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable software is a strong advantage.
