Equipment Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt and effective onsite equipment service to designated clients for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and additional packaging machinery situated in protein processing facilities.

• Serve as a safety champion, prioritizing safety across all duties.

• Comprehend customer needs regarding issues with products and equipment.

• Maintain customer equipment to ensure optimal performance of machinery, packaging films, and shrink bag materials.

• Offer preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical assistance for Rotary Chamber and other flexible plastic packaging equipment at client sites utilizing Amcor materials.

• Keep accurate and timely records of work activities and time management.

• Support the installation and commissioning of packaging equipment produced and marketed by AFNA.

• Aid in the refurbishment of Rotary Chamber equipment at Amcor’s RE&D facility in New London, Wisconsin.

• Contribute to the design, installation, and commissioning of packaging machinery manufactured by external suppliers or RE&D.

• Conduct training sessions for customers on the proper operation and upkeep of equipment.

• Participate in projects and potentially oversee smaller tasks within larger projects.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, sales representatives, and internal AFNA personnel.

• Complete necessary reporting within 5 days, submit expense reports within one month of business trips, and finalize weekly schedules within the assigned timeframe.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Technical Degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology or a related field is preferred.

• Megatronics training and certification is preferred.

• Capability to drive, stand, walk, manipulate tools and parts with hands, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and possess good near and far vision acuity along with effective depth perception.

• Ability to climb, maintain balance, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the food packaging sector (materials and machinery).

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time or more.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Mechanical and electrical technical proficiency.

• Capability to troubleshoot most issues related to packaging machines.
