This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Deliver tier-2 support for application incidents reported via the help desk.
• Analyze and address application incidents, maintenance items, enhancement requests, upgrades, updates, and projects.
• Collaborate with team members and across departments.
• Develop and maintain requirements, specifications, and test cases for new or enhanced application functionalities.
• Create, review, and update test scripts to align with workflow solutions.
• Modify Epic records, tables, and master files to facilitate application design and changes.
• Implement changes following documented, policy-compliant procedures.
• Participate in team and cross-team meetings, and maintain records of those meetings.
• Support the assigned Epic application, its integrations, and related Epic applications.
• Work independently while anticipating and completing additional tasks within the scheduled timeframe.
• Recommend, review, and test changes, enhancements, and new releases.
• Assist the training team by conveying new functionalities and system changes.
• Develop new workflows in partnership with subject matter experts.
• Create solutions aimed at enhancing end-user productivity and effectiveness.
• Mentor and instruct analysts and other mentors.
• Troubleshoot issues beyond the primary application.
• Foster knowledge transfer and mentorship opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to large cross-functional groups.
• Analyze new-release functionalities and assess their impacts.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance, change management, and testing processes.
• Facilitate meetings, drive next steps, and provide notes and follow-up actions.
• Lead functional initiatives and advocate for effective change management.
• Identify and implement process improvements across teams and areas.
• Proactively suggest solutions to operational challenges.
• Build and sustain relationships with other Epic customers.
• Assist in developing strategies for assigned areas.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate project scope and timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of IT or business experience.
• 6 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3 years of Epic-specific experience required.
• Epic certification in the supported application is necessary.
• Additional proficiency, certification, or badges in a related application area are preferred.
• Mid-level skills in Microsoft Office are essential.
• Exceptional written, oral, instructional, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong customer service orientation and skills are crucial.
• Ability to analyze highly complex systems and workflows effectively.
• Skills in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing major projects, programs, or departmental functions are necessary.
• Capability to establish tasks and activities connected to intended outcomes and timelines.
• Ability to collaborate and build consensus among stakeholders is important.
• Understanding and adherence to operational standards, policies, and procedures are required.
• Ability to identify risks and issues effectively.
• Proficient in analyzing data, drawing conclusions, interpreting results, and developing solutions for new and unfamiliar challenges.
• Knowledge of current issues and trends in healthcare and clinical/revenue operations within a healthcare system is expected.
