This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Evaluate workflows, data collection processes, report specifics, and technical challenges related to Epic software
• Examine end-user preferences and assess business operations to guide build decisions
• Develop and sustain Epic application content
• Adhere to functional specifications for creating Epic application content
• Conduct unit testing and support both functional and integrated testing
• Document and report system issues while liaising with vendors when necessary
• Populate databases during the initial system setup
• Gather information on system enhancements and functionality requirements
• Assess data conversion requirements and validate interface data
• Create and document project team procedures while establishing change-control processes
• Engage in training development and delivery
• Troubleshoot issues and address end-user inquiries
• Collaborate with report writers to ensure the availability of necessary reports
• Prioritize and implement system modifications and evaluate new release functionalities
• Interact with Epic representatives and the end-user community
• Offer end-user support during implementation and assist with application roll-outs
• Identify, communicate, and resolve system challenges
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field
• Two (2) years of experience with Epic or integrated EMR systems
• Alternatively, an Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field along with four (4) years of relevant Information Technology experience may be acceptable
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma or equivalent with seven (7) years of related Information Technology experience may be considered
• Alternatively, one (1) year of Epic build and/or support experience may be acceptable
• Epic Module Certification as required for the position
• CPHIMS certification preferred
