Environmental Science Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in preparing environmental reports, conducting assessments, creating permit materials, performing research, and managing project documentation.

• Provide support for field activities, including sampling, site observations, surveys, and the collection of data.

• Aid in the evaluation of environmental conditions, compliance requirements, and potential mitigation strategies.

• Acquire practical experience in field data collection, understanding environmental regulations, generating technical reports, coordinating across disciplines, and delivering projects.

• Collaborate with engineers, planners, scientists, clients, and regulatory stakeholders under the mentorship of seasoned professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

• Completion of pertinent coursework in environmental studies, science, engineering, or technical fields.

• Fundamental understanding of environmental principles and regulatory frameworks.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with technical research or data analysis tools.

• Preferred: experience from internships, co-ops, laboratories, fieldwork, or research related to environmental projects.

• Preferred: knowledge of GIS, environmental sampling, permitting, or modeling tools.

• Preferred: participation in environmental, sustainability, or related professional organizations.
