Environmental Project Assessor – Experienced

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Execute Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in compliance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations.

• Carry out site reconnaissance that includes visual inspections and interviews to pinpoint potential environmental issues.

• Examine historical land use utilizing aerial imagery, fire insurance maps, city directories, and regulatory databases.

• Evaluate environmental documentation and regulatory agency records to determine contamination risks.

• Compose technically robust ESA reports detailing findings and recommendations.

• Generate site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs.

• Collect limited samples of building materials, water, or air as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

• Engage with clients, property owners, and site contacts to facilitate access and gather necessary information.

• Collaborate with project managers and technical reviewers.

• Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and budgets.

• Keep abreast of environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

• Take part in training sessions, webinars, and mentorship opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience writing Phase I environmental site assessments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel for fieldwork.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results on time.

• Ability to foster strong relationships within a team environment.

• Internship or consulting experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
