This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Act as the environmental representative for STACK Infrastructure across the EMEA portfolio.
• Assist the Senior Director EHS - EMEA in adhering to company protocols and relevant legislative requirements.
• Create, sustain, and advocate for an ISO 14001-compliant Environmental Management System.
• Keep environmental legal registers up to date.
• Oversee environmental performance across projects and operational sites.
• Develop inspection schedules and benchmarking to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Establish, analyze, and report on environmental KPIs, including both leading and lagging data and dashboards.
• Recognize opportunities for improvement throughout the EMEA region.
• Offer environmental guidance during incident management.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations, including escalation, briefings for senior management, and recommendations for recurrence prevention.
• Work collaboratively with EHS, Project, Facility, and EMEA Sustainability teams on environmental initiatives.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities.
• Represent STACK in a professional manner on environmental issues.
• Identify training and competency needs related to environmental matters.
• Document learning, innovation, and best practices for the broader STACK portfolio.
• Advocate for environmental topics through EHS forums and necessary meetings.
• Ensure that actions are completed thoroughly.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an environmental role within the data center industry.
• Familiarity with environmental legislative requirements in the region and practical experience in applying them.
• Experience in critical systems environments, particularly with construction methodologies.
• A recognized regional or international environmental qualification.
• A Health & Safety qualification such as the NEBOSH Certificate is preferred.
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training or certification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence in engaging with senior leaders and external authorities.
• Strong skills in reporting, planning, and organization.
• Capability to handle competing deadlines and adapt swiftly to changing circumstances.
• A collaborative, impartial, and solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage personal workload while effectively contributing to team efforts.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
