This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Establish and nurture a robust network within the environmental, consulting, remediation, and industrial sectors.
• Actively seek out and engage new business prospects throughout Central Detroit, Michigan, and the wider Midwest region.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to grasp client requirements and align SGS solutions with technical and regulatory hurdles.
• Create compelling value propositions for analytical testing services, encompassing water, soil, air, and specialized testing initiatives.
• Partner with Client Services and Lab Operations to guarantee outstanding service delivery.
• Spearhead proposal creation, negotiate pricing, and secure new contracts.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts, update CRM systems, and gather market intelligence.
• Represent SGS at trade shows, technical seminars, and regional industry gatherings.
• Uphold customer advocacy and serve as a reliable technical partner.
• Expand knowledge in environmental compliance, analytical techniques, and SGS service offerings.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients and drive strategic growth in the region.
• Candidates should be located in the Detroit, MI area or within an hour's drive from Livonia.
• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years in technical sales, project management, or customer service is essential.
• Experience in the environmental sector or analytical testing services is highly preferred.
• Sales experience in environmental labs is particularly encouraged.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are necessary.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and a solution-oriented approach are required.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage a sales pipeline, and achieve results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is required.
• Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Eligible for the EHS North America commission plan.
