Entry Level Social Media Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage the @getknowt TikTok and Instagram accounts on a daily basis, posting regularly for a high school demographic.

• Develop content from concept to publication, which includes creating hooks, writing scripts, filming, editing, and crafting captions.

• Produce engaging content centered around high school experiences, AP exams, the SAT and ACT, study techniques, and test-related stress.

• Transform Knowt's offerings into content that resonates with students and encourages engagement.

• Ensure that each post aligns with the platform's norms and reflects high school culture.

• Experiment with hooks, formats, storytelling methods, and calls to action to identify successful strategies.

• Connect content with the high school calendar to enhance relevance.

• Leverage platform trends, audience insights, and performance analytics to brainstorm new content ideas.

• Adapt content strategies daily based on performance metrics.

• Monitor and analyze content performance, providing suggestions on what to scale, enhance, or discontinue.

• Evaluate views, watch time, saves, shares, comments, and signups.

• Collaborate closely with the marketing team and report to the Student Marketing Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum commitment of 10–15 hours per week is required.

• A strong intuition for what captures attention on TikTok and Instagram, and an understanding of the reasons behind it.

• Direct experience with high school life, AP courses, the SAT and ACT, and the associated pressures.

• Ability to take a video from inception to publication confidently.

• A data-focused mindset, making decisions based on views and conversion statistics.

• Experience in creating and expanding short-form content, particularly in the edtech or exam-preparation sectors (preferred).

• Comfortable on camera or experienced in writing scripts for content creators (preferred).

• Having taken AP exams, the SAT, or the ACT (preferred).

• Must reside in Canada or the United States.
