Entry Level Full Stack Engineer, Chat Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Server Driven UI components to facilitate dynamic chat experiences across Android, iOS, and Web platforms.

• Write, test, and deploy production-level Python and TypeScript code throughout the chat platform stack.

• Contribute to the development of streaming APIs and client SDKs for real-time chat interactions.

• Collaborate with teams focusing on chat features and chat intelligence to convert product requirements into platform capabilities.

• Implement chat flows with metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting functionalities.

• Engage in code reviews, on-call rotations, and incident management.

• Analyze production issues and provide solutions across various services and client surfaces.

• Deliver features from backend to client SDK while gaining expertise in real-time systems and platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in Python and TypeScript.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.

• Dedication to writing clean, tested, and maintainable code.

• Familiar with or possess a solid understanding of client-server architecture.

• Quick to adapt to an unfamiliar codebase and capable of asking insightful questions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions with Product, Design, and Data Science teams.

• Interest in real-time systems, streaming protocols, or platform/infrastructure development.

• Completion of a final coding exercise using React and Flask on a code repository platform.
