📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Server Driven UI components that dynamically present chat experiences on Android, iOS, and Web platforms.

• Create, test, and deploy production-level code in Python and TypeScript throughout the chat platform ecosystem.

• Contribute to the development of streaming APIs and client SDKs that provide real-time chat interactions for consumers and businesses.

• Collaborate with teams focused on chat features and chat intelligence to convert emerging product needs into platform functionalities.

• Implement metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting in chat flows to ensure reliability at scale.

• Engage in code reviews, participate in on-call rotations, and respond to incidents.

• Investigate production challenges and provide solutions across a complex system that includes multiple services and client interfaces.

• Deliver features from backend to client SDK in a comprehensive manner.

• Construct the infrastructure that supports Yelp Assistant experiences on Android, iOS, and Web.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Expertise in Python and TypeScript.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles: data structures, algorithms, system design, and a dedication to producing clean, tested, and maintainable code.

• Familiarity with and a solid understanding of client-server architecture.

• Capability to quickly familiarize oneself with an unfamiliar codebase and pose insightful questions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the team collaborates cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data Science while documenting decisions.

• A keen interest in real-time systems, streaming protocols, or platform/infrastructure development.

• Successful completion of a coding exercise using React and Flask on a code repository platform during the final panel interview.
