This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the configuration of Workday tenants, including business processes and system settings
• Direct updates, releases, and enhancements within Workday
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration manuals, and training resources
• Assess and deploy new features in Workday
• Act as the technical point of escalation for intricate Workday challenges
• Provide training and support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk teams
• Manage ticket queues and troubleshoot complex system issues
• Chair the Workday change control committee with HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders
• Guide the decision-making process for system modifications and improvements
• Convey updates, obtain necessary approvals, and implement impactful organizational changes
• Encourage the adoption and clear communication of Workday modifications
• Oversee vendor relations and third-party support services
• Plan and manage system upgrades and go-live events
• Provide support to over 2,000 users across various business units
• Supervise integrations, reporting, and system security on a large scale
• Collaborate with the implementation vendor and leadership in HR, Finance, and IS to ensure a successful launch and sustained operational excellence
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field with equivalent experience
• 7+ years of direct Workday administration experience
• Proficient in tenant management, business processes, security roles and access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management
• Skilled in troubleshooting, tier-3 support, report creation, and system documentation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools (Prism, calculated fields, dashboards)
• Commitment to pursuing Workday certifications and staying updated on best practices
• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work permanently in the United States
• This position currently does not provide visa sponsorship
• Preferred experience managing third-party system integrations, Workday security, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices
• Workday certifications, CompTIA A+ certification, or other IT certifications are advantageous
• Preferred experience in application administration, integrations/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting, problem-solving, cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, compliance, reporting, process management, and integration
• Capability to support complex environments with multiple units
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users and present to internal groups
• Ongoing training with vendors and a dedicated training budget
