This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the configuration of the Workday tenant, including business processes and system settings.
• Direct the updates, releases, and enhancements of Workday.
• Keep documentation, configuration guides, and training materials up to date.
• Assess and integrate new features within Workday.
• Act as the technical point of escalation for intricate Workday challenges.
• Educate and empower Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Manage ticket queues while resolving complex system issues.
• Chair the Workday change control committee with HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders.
• Guide decisions regarding system modifications and enhancements.
• Disseminate updates, secure necessary approvals, and execute organizational changes.
• Foster the adoption and effective communication of Workday updates.
• Oversee vendor relationships and third-party support.
• Collaborate with the implementation vendor, along with HR, Finance, and IS leadership.
• Steer Workday go-live, system design, implementations, integrations, reporting, and system security.
• Provide support to over 2,000 users across various business units.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, tier-3 support, report development, and system documentation.
• More than 7 years of practical experience in Workday administration.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles and access controls, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management.
• Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools such as Prism, calculated fields, and dashboards.
• Willing to pursue Workday certifications and remain updated on industry best practices.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Should not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred experience includes third-party system integrations, Workday security management, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices.
• Preferred Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security, along with additional certifications in Workday security or reporting.
• CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in application administration, integrations/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Capability to support complex, multi-unit environments.
• Ability to plan and oversee system upgrades and go-lives.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users and present to internal audiences.
