This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the configuration of Workday tenants, including business processes and system settings.
• Spearhead updates, releases, and enhancements within the Workday system.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration manuals, and training resources.
• Assess and implement new features available in Workday.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate Workday issues.
• Train and empower Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Manage ticket queues and address complex system challenges.
• Lead the Workday change control committee with stakeholders from HR, Finance, and IS.
• Facilitate decision-making for system modifications and enhancements.
• Communicate updates, secure necessary approvals, and implement organizational changes.
• Advocate for the adoption and communication of changes in Workday.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party support services.
• Plan and oversee system upgrades and go-live events.
• Provide support to over 2,000 users across various business units.
• Oversee integrations, reporting, and system security on a large scale.
• Collaborate with the implementation vendor, along with HR, Finance, and IS leadership, to ensure operational excellence in Workday.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with equivalent experience.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, providing tier-3 support, report generation, and system documentation.
• A minimum of 7 years of direct experience in Workday administration.
• Proficient in Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles, access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools (Prism, calculated fields, dashboards).
• Willingness to pursue Workday certifications and keep abreast of best practices.
• Experience in managing third-party system integrations, Workday security, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices is advantageous.
• Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security are a plus.
• CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications are desirable.
• Experience in application administration, interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
