Enterprise Solutions Architect

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and establish a cohesive target-state enterprise architecture that encompasses legacy systems, a modern platform, and bridging components.

• Convert approved requirements into comprehensive solution packages that include architecture and state diagrams, data models, API and interface specifications, integration designs, and traceable testing strategies.

• Make informed decisions on when to utilize out-of-the-box configurations versus custom coding.

• Manage logical and physical data models, data dictionaries, migration strategies, bridging strategies, and enforce data governance.

• Create APIs, batch exchanges, and system-to-system transfers that connect federal agencies with lenders, servicers, and partner systems.

• Design resilient, self-recovering, and monitored integrations for mortgage data.

• Sequence the migration of legacy functions, design bridge services, ensure consistency across platforms, and plan for the retirement of bridges.

• Produce actionable plans detailing scope and effort through a formal intake process within a matter of days.

• Engineer designs that incorporate Zero Trust alignment, accessibility, data protection, authorization evidence, security, and compliance.

• Conduct design reviews, document architecture standards, enforce these standards, and provide mentorship to engineers and analysts.

• Leverage AI tools to analyze legacy code and data structures, recover business rules, accelerate the creation of architecture artifacts, pressure-test designs, and prototype integrations.

• Assist in determining appropriate uses of AI within federal security, data, privacy, and authorization boundaries.

• Present trade-offs, advocate for recommendations, challenge detrimental decisions, and take ownership of outcomes in ambiguous situations.

• Lead the technical direction for numerous engineers developing a Salesforce-centered platform integrated with serverless government-cloud capabilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in the mortgage industry, covering the loan lifecycle from origination through servicing, loss mitigation, and claims.

• Knowledge of mortgage data, regulatory challenges, and industry participants.

• Experience in enterprise and solution architecture across application, data, and integration domains.

• Proven track record in owning target-state architectures, managing complex integrations, and executing data migrations.

• Ability to produce architecture and solution design artifacts that are utilized to create production systems.

• Experience in designing solutions within regulated federal environments or delivering technology for federal housing programs.

• Familiarity with authorization, security controls, accessibility, and federal documentation requirements.

• Experience in decomposing legacy systems, extracting business rules, and managing the sequencing of replacements while keeping legacy systems operational.

• Demonstrated use of AI tools in architectural and analytical tasks, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

• Capability to translate statutes and policies into architectural designs for engineers, and to convey architectural implications to executives and program officials.

• Ability to make defendable design choices amidst ambiguity, document assumptions, and adapt as new facts emerge.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.

• Full-time W-2 employment opportunity with PhoenixTeam.

• Experience in Salesforce platform architecture or a similar configuration-first enterprise platform is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Practical experience with MISMO, URLA, or other mortgage data standards is beneficial but not required.

• Familiarity with VA, FHA, USDA, or GSE programs and systems is advantageous but not essential.

• Experience with serverless architecture in AWS GovCloud or similar government cloud environments is a plus but not necessary.
