This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to grasp their business strategies, motivations, and limitations, and convert them into technology directives.
• Analyze existing technology environments and create cohesive target-state architectures that align with business goals.
• Formulate transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.
• Set architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
• Assess trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI alternatives, providing well-founded recommendations.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to both executives and hands-on engineers.
• Collaborate on-site with clients across different regions during discovery, design, and advisory phases.
• Proven ability to link technology choices to enterprise business objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.
• Proficient in Kubernetes-based container platforms, such as Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).
• Familiar with multi-cluster management tools like Mirantis k0rdent.
• Comprehension of workload orchestration across various clusters and environments.
• Familiarity with vSphere/VMware environments and paths for modernization or migration.
• Understanding of bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud and container platform components and their integration.
• Insight into enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance considerations.
• Strong communication skills to articulate architecture and reasoning to both business and technical audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel, mainly within the EU and US.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including roles in customer-facing architecture or advisory capacities.
• Experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred.
• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is preferred.
• Additional proficiency in European languages beyond English is preferred.
• Relevant cloud or container certifications are preferred.
• Collaborate with a well-established leader in the cloud infrastructure sector based in Silicon Valley.
