This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to comprehend their business strategies, key drivers, and limitations, translating these into a technology roadmap.
• Evaluate existing technology landscapes and create cohesive target-state architectures that align with business goals.
• Formulate transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.
• Define architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
• Analyze trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI solutions.
• Provide clear and defensible recommendations regarding technology compatibility within the larger ecosystem.
• Act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Present architectures, roadmaps, and their justifications to customer executives and hands-on engineers.
• Engage in-person with clients across various regions during discovery, design, and advisory processes.
• Capability to think comprehensively about enterprise technology and relate technology decisions to business objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.
• Preferred experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms, including Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).
• Knowledge of multi-cluster management tools such as Mirantis k0rdent.
• Understanding of workload orchestration across clusters and various environments.
• Insight into VMware vSphere estate modernization, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways.
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management methods.
• Comprehension of cloud and container platform components and their interconnectivity.
• Knowledge of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance implications.
• Strong communication skills to articulate architecture and rationale to both business and technical audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Storage (SDS) is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent is a plus.
• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is a plus.
• Proficiency in additional European languages beyond English is a plus.
• Relevant cloud or container industry certifications are a plus.
