This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to comprehend their business strategies, motivations, and constraints, translating these into technological directions.
• Evaluate existing technology landscapes and craft coherent target-state architectures that align with business goals.
• Create transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.
• Define architectural principles, standards, and reference models.
• Analyze trade-offs across cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI options, providing well-founded recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and intermediary between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Communicate architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to executives and hands-on engineers.
• Engage with clients on-site across regions during discovery, design, and advisory phases.
• Capability to think comprehensively about the enterprise and link technology choices to business objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, particularly OpenStack; experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes-based container platforms, including Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).
• Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools such as Mirantis k0rdent.
• Understanding of workload orchestration across clusters and various environments.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere estate modernization, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways.
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.
• Background in automation and infrastructure-as-code/configuration-management practices like Ansible or Terraform.
• Insight into cloud and container platform components and their integration.
• Awareness of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data, security, and governance implications.
• Strong communication skills to convey architecture and rationale to both business and technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel, primarily within the EU and US.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.
• Familiarity with SDN, SDS, enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, hybrid or multi-cloud strategies, workload portability, additional European languages, and relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
