This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee comprehensive sourcing initiatives within hardware, telecom, reseller management, professional services, and designated indirect categories.
• Formulate and implement category strategies that align with enterprise goals.
• Perform market evaluations, supplier assessments, benchmarking, and sourcing events.
• Lead commercial negotiations and pinpoint opportunities for value enhancement.
• Create supplier strategies, long-term roadmaps, category playbooks, and governance frameworks.
• Manage supplier segmentation, visibility for renewals and refreshes, preferred supplier and reseller programs, and category governance.
• Keep track of markets related to OEM, distributors, resellers, carriers, connectivity, mobility, support, maintenance, and managed services.
• Deliver category intelligence, benchmarking insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Convert enterprise technology, infrastructure, workplace, location, and growth priorities into category-level sourcing and supplier strategies.
• Foster relationships across IT, Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other business functions.
• Engage stakeholders to influence specifications, standards, demand plans, supplier decisions, commercial strategies, and implementation requirements.
• Assist in supplier lifecycle management, performance management, renewal and refresh planning, and supplier optimization.
• Establish and govern reseller strategies, including manufacturer alignment, channel selection, pricing transparency, discounts, rebates, deal registration, services, support, and escalation paths.
• Negotiate arrangements for hardware, telecom, mobility, connectivity, maintenance, warranty, support, managed services, implementation, and professional services.
• Support procurement policies, governance, improvements in the operating model, demand and asset lifecycle practices, tools, templates, and sourcing frameworks.
• Analyze data regarding spend, suppliers, inventory, assets, usage, circuits, locations, contracts, rates, renewals, refreshes, and categories.
• Create executive-ready presentations, reports, business cases, and recommendations.
• Leverage Excel, Power BI, AI-enabled tools, and procurement technologies to enhance business outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5 years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Management, or Supply Chain.
• Proven accountability in managing hardware, telecom, reseller, carrier, or managed services categories.
• Successful track record in leading sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations with manufacturers, resellers, distributors, telecom carriers, connectivity providers, or managed service providers.
• Strong grasp of hardware lifecycle economics, telecom/connectivity services, reseller and channel models, service levels, warranties, maintenance, and common commercial constructs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, NetSuite or similar ERP, Zip or similar procurement workflow platform, and Jira or equivalent project management tool.
• Comfortable analyzing data related to spend, inventory, usage, location, rates, suppliers, proposals, contracts, and categories.
• Experience in constructing business cases and executive presentations.
• Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-growth, multi-site, and dynamic environments.
• Nice to have: experience in developing strategies, playbooks, supplier segmentation models, and sourcing roadmaps for hardware, telecom, reseller, or managed services categories.
• Nice to have: experience negotiating with OEMs, value-added resellers, distributors, telecom carriers, connectivity providers, or managed service providers.
• Nice to have: experience managing technology categories in insurance, financial services, professional services, technology, or other intricate enterprise settings.
• Nice to have: experience in spend, inventory, usage, circuit, location, supplier, and benchmarking analysis.
• Nice to have: experience supporting procurement transformation initiatives in multi-site, acquisition-driven, or high-growth organizations.
