Enterprise Cybersecurity Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the OT-focused Cybersecurity Architect, aiding in the development and implementation of the Marine Corps FRCS Enterprise Architecture.

• Strategize and organize a MCEN-hosted FRCS Reference Architecture utilizing SDN, SDA, and OT continuous monitoring platforms.

• Create and sustain the FRCS Enterprise Architecture along with associated enterprise POA&Ms.

• Generate and revise RASCI charts to clarify roles and responsibilities within the FRCS Architecture.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define CSSP roles, responsibilities, and monitoring/reporting tasks for the entire FRCS.

• Evaluate and suggest updates to guides and policies to ensure alignment with the FRCS Reference Architecture.

• Formulate, revise, and maintain MOAs, MOUs, and SLAs outlining responsibilities for FRCS server hosting, firewall management, and infrastructure utilization.

• Provide technical and analytical assistance for FRCS authorization processes, including ATOs, system integration, and cybersecurity challenges.

• Aid in the creation of FRCS documentation such as inventories, Security Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Contingency Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, Incident Response Plans, Action Plans, and Portfolio Management artifacts.

• Organize, attend, and support FRCS Enterprise Architecture TAG, Regional Working Groups, and Test Bed TAGs, including facilitation, briefing preparation, minute-taking, and charter management.

• Develop Information Papers, Decision Papers, Executive Briefs, and manage FRCS SharePoint content.

• Assist with annual FRCS workshops and coordinate training and project data calls across Regions and MARFORRES.

• Provide technical support for FRCS Portfolio Management, covering DoD system registration, OEP assistance, ITPRs, PBIS-IT submissions, and license agreement formulation.

• Travel to Marine Corps installations to provide architecture planning and cybersecurity expertise.

• Evaluate security postures of OT networks, including protocol analysis, segmentation, and perimeter defense.

• Offer guidance on cybersecurity compliance for ICS/SCADA vendors and integrators.

• Monitor emerging cyber threats, attack methodologies, and industry best practices in computer network defense; assess implications and suggest proactive strategies.

• Engage in conferences, work groups, meetings, and other required events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, enterprise architecture, OT/ICS security engineering, or RMF system authorization.

• Proven experience in developing or managing enterprise architectures, preferably within federal or DoD contexts.

• Familiarity with RMF documentation, control implementation, POA&M development, and compliance validation.

• Knowledge of software-defined networking/software defined access (SDN, SDA) and separated OT environments.

• Experience coordinating with various stakeholder organizations at the enterprise level.

• Background in developing or maintaining MOAs/MOUs/SLAs and defining cross-functional responsibilities.

• Experience in supporting ATO processes, cybersecurity assessments, or system accreditation efforts.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Advanced degree (MS or higher) in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or a related field.

• Familiarity with USMC IT and OT/FRCS Systems and cybersecurity processes.

• Experience with Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), MARFORCYBER, MCCOG, and other USMC cybersecurity organizations.

• Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CASP+, CySA+, GICSP, GSLC, or equivalent.

• Experience in developing RASCI charts or organizational governance frameworks.

• Background in Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) operations.

• Experience in SharePoint site design, documentation workflows, and enterprise communication products.

• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles as applied to OT environments.
