Enterprise Asset Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Implement, operationalize, and manage Autodesk's enterprise hardware asset management capability for PCs, Macs, mobile phones, and other end-user hardware.

• Establish precise, governed asset data as the reliable system of record throughout the full lifecycle.

• Develop and execute asset management processes based on insights from an external evaluation of fulfillment, distribution, and ITAD practices.

• Define the program strategy, roadmap, operating model, cross-functional roles, and governance cadences in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and Security.

• Create and enforce a hardware governance framework and governance board.

• Manage customization and exception governance for nonstandard catalog requests.

• Provide guidance to departments utilizing end-user hardware and oversee global VAR vendor relationships.

• Establish persona-based hardware standards and device catalog tiers.

• Assess customization and upgrade requests based on technical merit.

• Develop a compliance and security vetting process for new hardware models.

• Implement controls across request, procurement, deployment, recovery, refresh, and secure disposal processes.

• Enhance asset database accuracy from approximately 60–70 percent and set data matching, reconciliation, and quality standards.

• Integrate asset management with discovery, endpoint management, identity, CMDB, procurement, and disposition systems.

• Align asset data with core ITSM processes.

• Automate asset tracking and reconciliation workflows.

• Lead hardware asset financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis.

• Reconcile purchasing, accounts payable, fixed-asset register, and general ledger records.

• Develop and present asset management KPIs and dashboards for senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience managing enterprise asset management programs from start to finish.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.

• Experience operating at a large enterprise scale, managing 50,000+ assets.

• Hands-on expertise with CMDB/ServiceNow data integration, data hygiene, accuracy, and governance across device- and asset-level records.

• Experience overseeing the complete asset lifecycle across various device types, including mobile devices.

• Familiarity with formal change management processes, such as ITIL change/release management.

• An engineering mindset towards processes and systems, including workflow design and systems integration.

• Strong financial acumen, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and contract or vendor cost management.

• Ability to create and present materials to senior leadership, including RACI, SLAs, XLAs, program status, and metrics.

• Capability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Procurement, Security, and technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable operating globally across different time zones and facilitating change in regionally distributed teams.

• People leadership or management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with AI toolsets related to assets, systems, and asset data is beneficial.

• Equivalent professional experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
