Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) SME – Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Configure, manage, integrate, and enhance Octave Attune EAM continuously.

• Ensure a secure, stable, and reliable system of record for asset structures, maintenance plans, preventive maintenance, job plans, work orders, repair histories, and maintenance-planning information.

• Facilitate discovery, requirements gathering, and solution-validation discussions with client stakeholders.

• Convert maintenance and work management needs into configuration decisions and offer recommendations.

• Set up organizational structures, users, roles, security, screens, workflows, codes, reference data, asset hierarchies, preventive maintenance settings, work order controls, notifications, and reporting.

• Enable work execution from requests and prioritization through planning, scheduling, assignment, completion, and closeout.

• Enhance preventive maintenance and repair workflows while improving the capture of job plans, routes, task lists, asset histories, labor, costs, statuses, and compliance information.

• Manage back-end systems and facilitate integrations with ERP, asset information, operational workflow, and reporting platforms, including j5 and SDx where applicable.

• Oversee interface requirements, mappings, data exchanges, scheduled processes, monitoring, and issue resolution with client IT, vendors, and technical teams.

• Implement controls for user access, configuration, asset and reference data, and system modifications.

• Conduct validation, reconciliation, audits, and corrective actions to ensure data quality, traceability, and compliance.

• Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

• Manage defects, controlled deployments, patches, upgrades, and enhancements.

• Identify enhancements that boost reliability, usability, and business value.

• Maintain configuration records, administrator guides, work instructions, support procedures, and training materials.

• Address complex user issues and share knowledge with client administrators and end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in configuring and administering Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM / Infor EAM) or a similar platform such as IBM Maximo or SAP S/4HANA Asset Management.

• Hands-on experience with EAM work management, encompassing preventive maintenance, work requests and orders, planning, scheduling, execution, closeout, and repair history.

• Strong knowledge of asset structures, maintenance strategies and plans, repair cycles, and inventory operations that support maintenance execution.

• Experience in back-end administration, including user security, workflows and screens, reference data, reporting, environment support, and controlled system changes.

• Familiarity with EAM integrations related to ERP, operational workflow, asset information, or reporting systems; relevant examples include j5 and SDx.

• Demonstrated senior client-facing experience in clarifying requirements, leading technical discussions, presenting recommendations, and coordinating business and technical decisions.

• Experience in facility-based environments such as industrial, oil and gas, chemical, or large infrastructure.

• Practical systems mindset that connects maintenance outcomes, user needs, configuration choices, integrations, and data quality.

• Confident, consultative presence that builds trust and assists clients in making clear, informed decisions in complex environments.

• A disciplined sense of ownership, following issues through to resolution and ensuring sustainable documentation, controls, and capabilities are established.
