This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Provide guidance to Business Unit / Functional leadership and play a key role in shaping McCormick's Enterprise Architecture strategy.
• Comprehend business domains, strategic business requirements, and development roadmaps.
• Address intricate technology architecture challenges and significant business issues.
• Spearhead the creation of architecture strategies, roadmaps, and guiding principles.
• Inform investment choices utilizing business capability models, technology reference models, and functional roadmaps.
• Advocate for capability domain requirements within the Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Monitor and evaluate both emerging and established technologies to foster innovation.
• Ensure alignment of architecture with global IT standards and Enterprise Architecture principles.
• Deliver architectural designs and advice for complex projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Product Line leadership.
• Oversee solution architecture throughout various projects and products.
• Establish governing principles and standards for architecture-related decisions.
• Identify and address deviations from established architectural standards.
• Develop architectural and security specifications.
• Investigate emerging technologies and propose cost-effective, adaptable solutions.
• Formulate, document, and disseminate systems architecture investment strategies.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 8 years of IT experience, with a substantial focus on engineering or architecture roles.
• Strong business acumen within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
• Extensive knowledge of business and technical architecture areas, including infrastructure, applications, integration, information and data, as well as cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with information management practices, regulatory standards, and data privacy laws.
• Understanding of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, ERP, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
• Capacity to articulate and communicate a technology vision along with actionable architecture roadmaps.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in change management.
• Capability to work independently and make informed decisions autonomously.
• Skillful in multitasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining a structured approach.
• Proven ability to cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals across various disciplines and levels of business or technical expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Exposure to Scrum, SAFe, and DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of strategic technologies pertinent to McCormick's objectives over the next three to five years.
• Ability to develop and share enabling architecture guidance or reference architectures.
