Enterprise Architect, AWS Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture for client engagements, ensuring that technical decisions, business objectives, and delivery timelines are aligned from discovery to go-live.

• Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding architecture and technical strategy, effectively translating their business objectives into an AWS architecture that meets their needs.

• Lead security reviews, compliance checks, and quality assurance gates for clients, ensuring that documentation is properly organized to maintain project momentum.

• Collaborate with Solution and Technical Architects, providing the necessary cross-system and cross-stakeholder context to ensure their designs are coherent at the enterprise level.

• Conduct discovery sessions, develop business cases and ROI for modernization initiatives, and assist in pre-sales activities with estimates and executive discussions.

• Establish standards, governance, and reusable playbooks to streamline future engagements, including a more efficient method for setting up new AWS accounts.

• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail for each project.

• Foster the health of client relationships by identifying risks early and being the reliable point of contact for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of practical experience in AWS architecture, with extensive knowledge of core services.

• A minimum of 5 years spent designing and governing secure, scalable, and highly available systems within complex organizations.

• Proven track record of managing client relationships and achieving successful outcomes, beyond just technical deliverables.

• Comfortable engaging with regulated enterprise clients, understanding their security, compliance, and approval processes, while maintaining credibility with their executives.

• Experience in consulting or professional services, where client relationship management is integral to the technical work.

• TOGAF certification or equivalent experience applying a formal enterprise architecture framework in practice.

• Familiarity with Amazon Connect or other CCaaS/contact center solutions, including AWS and Salesforce integration (Connect + Service Cloud Voice).

• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional or a relevant Specialty).

• Experience with AI/ML services such as Amazon Q, Bedrock, or SageMaker.

• Multi-cloud experience, particularly with Azure or GCP, alongside a primary focus on AWS.
