This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +6 more countries.
• Define the technical architecture of the complete AI capability, encompassing standards, shared components, and strategies for evaluation and release.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and domain experts to set objectives, constraints, and anticipated outcomes.
• Identify processes that are suitable for automation and select and justify the appropriate tools, platforms, and methodologies.
• Develop and present solution proposals detailing the scope, approach, effort, and expected impact.
• Take ownership of outcomes, including user adoption, measurable time savings, and reliability for end users.
• Design, build, test, and maintain reusable AI skills, including supporting scripts, validation logic, reference data, and shared components.
• Write and review production-quality code through review processes, continuous integration, and release management.
• Create the evaluation framework with golden cases, acceptance criteria, and regression testing.
• Diagnose agent behavior issues and resolve root causes.
• Integrate with client platforms and data sources.
• Conduct pilots with actual consultants, gather structured feedback, and implement improvements.
• Establish and enforce standards for authoring, reviewing, versioning, and releasing AI skills.
• Monitor advancements in AI tooling and introduce relevant capabilities into the engagement process.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to two engineers.
• Engage in presales activities.
• Proven experience in architectural ownership of real systems, including module boundaries, reuse, versioning, integration, and non-functional constraints.
• Practical experience in building, reviewing, testing, and maintaining production-quality solutions.
• Strong engineering foundation in at least one modern technology stack.
• Proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js (NestJS, Angular) is beneficial but not mandatory; backgrounds in Python, Java, or .NET are acceptable with a solid understanding of modern AI tooling.
• Professional experience with version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Practical experience with contemporary AI tools and platforms.
• Experience in delivering real LLM-backed systems to actual users.
• Familiarity with agentic patterns, including tool usage/function calling, MCP, prompt engineering, context engineering, structured instruction design, and orchestration.
• Experience in evaluating and enhancing non-deterministic systems using test sets, measurable acceptance criteria, and results-oriented iteration.
• Capability to make and defend platform-level decisions, including agent harnesses, integration architecture, and the choice between building or adopting solutions.
• Sound judgment regarding data management, security, and compliance for sensitive HR and compensation data.
• Credibility with clients' CTOs, enterprise architects, and senior business leaders.
• Ability to articulate technical strategies and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Presales skills, including solution shaping, scoping, estimation, and presentation to decision-makers.
• Skill in transforming ambiguous business requirements and implicit domain knowledge into clear designs and actionable workflows.
• Comfort working without a detailed specification and asking questions to bridge gaps.
• Proficiency in English at the C1 level.
• Willingness to maintain overlapping working hours with clients in the US / Western Europe.

• Monthly invoicing with payments aligned to the schedule Bonapolia receives payments from clients (typically 30 days).
• Contract governed by the laws of the candidate's country.
• Bonapolia manages client-side paperwork, including MSA, NDA, and invoicing.
