This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and implement strategies for territory and account management targeting State, Local Government, and Education clients throughout New Jersey.
• Discover and cultivate new sales prospects by engaging with customers to identify their business and technology objectives.
• Create and sustain sales pipelines for the short, medium, and long term.
• Establish and enhance relationships with customer stakeholders, influencers, and executive decision-makers.
• Convert customer goals, technology strategies, challenges, and priorities into IT opportunities.
• Position HPE products, solutions, and services to meet customer needs and deliver business value.
• Lead intricate sales opportunities from initial contact to closure.
• Coordinate with HPE specialists, presales resources, business units, channel partners, and account teams throughout the sales process.
• Develop compelling business value propositions aligned with customers’ strategic priorities and outcomes.
• Create and implement account plans aimed at developing and expanding assigned accounts.
• Utilize and enhance the partner ecosystem to broaden market coverage and generate new opportunities.
• Stay informed about IT industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and public-sector developments.
• Provide accurate data regarding pipeline, forecasts, opportunities, and account status.
• Act as a customer advocate within HPE, coordinating internal teams to ensure satisfaction and address challenges.
• A university or bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in sales or account management.
• A proven history of meeting or surpassing sales targets and generating new business.
• Experience in enterprise technology sales is preferred.
• Experience in SLED or public-sector sales is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and foster executive-level customer relationships.
• Experience collaborating with channel partners and cross-functional sales teams is preferred.
• Must reside within or close to the assigned territory in New Jersey.
• Willingness to travel regularly for customer, partner, and business engagements.
• A strong hunter mentality with the capability to identify, develop, and convert new opportunities.
• Proven success in building a pipeline and growing business within a designated territory.
• Strong consultative selling skills that connect customer priorities with technology solutions.
• Ability to establish trusted relationships with executives, IT leaders, partners, and stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Capability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage specialists, presales resources, business units, and partners.
• Working knowledge of enterprise technology and current IT trends.
• Strong business and financial acumen, alongside excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in account and territory planning with disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based setting while collaborating within a matrixed organization.
