This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a focused annual recruitment strategy for East Africa specifically targeting fee-paying students.
• Take ownership of and oversee the complete admissions pipeline for East African fee-paying applicants, from outreach and lead generation to application, interview, offer, and enrollment confirmation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with international school counselors, heads of sixth form, private school administrators, and parent communities throughout East Africa.
• Organize, coordinate, and participate in international school fairs, private school visits, parent information evenings, and virtual engagement sessions.
• Cultivate an in-depth understanding of IB, A-Level, AP, and IGCSE school networks within East Africa.
• Utilize CRM systems to manage applicant records, assess pipeline health, track conversion rates, and report to the Admissions Director.
• Contribute to the development of regionally tailored recruitment materials, digital content, and outreach messaging.
• Collaborate with the Enrollment Manager to ensure smooth transitions from offer acceptance to confirmed enrollment, including immigration and travel assistance.
• Provide insights into regional market trends and intelligence to guide strategic planning.
• Mentor and support junior team members and associates.
• Represent ALU at international school fairs, university counselor conferences, and regional education sector events.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in student recruitment, university admissions, or business development within the education sector, particularly focusing on international or private school markets in East Africa.
• Proven track record of successfully recruiting fee-paying students and achieving enrollment targets.
• Strong existing connections with international school counselors, private school administrators, or parent communities across East Africa.
• Knowledge of international curricula (IB, A-Level, IGCSE, AP) and the university selection processes of students from these systems.
• Proficient in using CRM systems for managing pipelines and recruitment reporting.
• Willingness to travel extensively within East Africa and occasionally beyond the region.
• Skills in fee-paying student recruitment strategy development.
• Experience in managing relationships with school counselors and administrators.
• Proficiency in pipeline management and CRM usage.
• Capability in data analysis and converting regional trends into actionable recruitment strategies.
• Experience in planning international school fairs and recruitment events across multiple in-country locations.
• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
