English Transcriber – AI Voice Data Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Precisely transcribe conversational audio into a verbatim English script.

• Retain fillers, repetitions, stutters, false starts, and authentic speech patterns.

• Manage Odia-English/Hindi code-switching, regional accents, and colloquial expressions.

• Recognize and label unintelligible speech, overlapping dialogue, background noise, and other audio challenges.

• Adhere to specific transcription and formatting guidelines as outlined for each project.

• Maintain a transcription accuracy of 97% or higher and meet designated turnaround times (TATs).

• Review and amend work according to feedback from quality assurance and reviewers.

• Complete the application process, including screening, English transcription skill assessment, evaluation, and onboarding, as well as production assignment.

• Contribute to a large-scale conversational voice data initiative aimed at training AI speech models.

• Transcribe natural, unscripted English dialogues covering various topics such as Finance, Travel, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native command of English, possessing exceptional reading and writing abilities.

• 1–3+ years of relevant experience in transcription, subtitling, captioning, speech annotation, or related fields is preferred.

• Proficient English typing skills; a typing speed of 40+ WPM is preferred.

• Outstanding listening capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Comfortable engaging with natural, unscripted, multi-speaker conversations.

• Experience in handling multilingual or code-switched audio is considered an advantage.

• Access to a laptop or desktop, reliable internet connection, and high-quality headphones is required.

• Must sustain a transcription accuracy of 97% or higher and meet assigned turnaround times (TATs).

• An NDA must be signed before accessing project audio and transcription materials.
