English to Thai LQA Games Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing of localized video game content across various gaming platforms.

• Detect, document, isolate, and resolve localization and linguistic issues.

• Confirm fixes using testing tools or databases.

• Adhere to and complete test cases and checklists.

• Carry out relevant testing processes and procedures.

• Compose bug descriptions in accordance with company standards and client requirements.

• Utilize knowledge of target-market user preferences to impact the client’s product positively.

• Actively identify gaps in test coverage.

• Collaborate with partner teams throughout the product testing phase.

• Offer constructive feedback regarding gameplay, enjoyment, and game balance.

• Conduct regression testing and implement text modifications.

• Undertake other relevant tasks associated with the role.

• A strong passion for video games and consistent gameplay experience.

• Native proficiency in Thai, with outstanding spelling and grammar.

• Proficient command of English for understanding instructions, testing documentation, and team communication.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is mandatory.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

• Basic familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Understanding of digital technologies, including mobile devices, tablets, and web tools.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Capacity to excel and deliver results in a fast-paced, innovative, and creative setting.

• Experience in game testing is a plus.

• Background in software localization, quality assurance, video games, or a related field is advantageous.

• Familiarity with various testing methodologies is a bonus.

• Experience in game localization is a plus.

• Knowledge of bug tracking systems like JIRA, Mantis, ADO, or Bugzilla, or CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ is a bonus.

• Candidates must be over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.

• Willingness to work during core business hours in Singapore, Monday to Friday, for 8 hours each day.
