English to Japanese Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Translate, edit, and conduct MTPE for various types of content including marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal materials.

• Contribute to an exciting, long-term initiative with a prominent multinational organization.

• Achieve a target output of over 5,000 words each week.

• Utilize a client-specific CAT tool, with comprehensive training provided during the onboarding process.

• Collaborate on prominent international projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malay.

• Strong command of the English language.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or over 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.

• Proven experience translating from English to Malay in various fields including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content.

• Proficiency in using CAT tools.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Demonstrated capability to produce high-quality translations while adhering to deadlines in a dynamic localization environment.

• Strong communication skills, along with reliability, responsiveness, and a willingness to accept feedback and make revisions.
