• Verify legal terminology and ensure procedural correctness.

• Check and confirm factual information.

• Uphold editorial standards and consistency throughout the service.

• When necessary, gather news and compose articles that explain court opinions and other litigation-related documents.

• When needed, track developments and report on legal news pertaining to an assigned topic.

• Have experience in hard news copyediting and possess strong news judgment.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in journalism/communications or equivalent work experience.

• Demonstrate the ability to multitask and adjust priorities throughout the day.

• Be capable of understanding and explaining complex legal subjects.

• Exhibit proficiency as a fast and skilled copy editor and news writer.

• Be available to work during Eastern Time zone hours.
