This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Deliver designated course materials in a virtual setting
• Offer instruction, assistance, and direction
• Oversee the educational process while prioritizing each student's unique needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Program
• Collaborate actively with students and parents to enhance student learning
• Complete necessary compliance paperwork for students with special needs
• Provide engaging and enriching synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Tailor learning for all students and adjust instruction based on their mastery levels
• Supplement course content using approved asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of the principal and coach
• Maintain accurate grade records and uphold academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with families
• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting
• Travel as necessary, averaging once a month and/or approximately 20% of the time, for in-person professional development, student assessments, and school-related needs
• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid state teaching license
• Oklahoma English Language Learner (ELL) Certification
• Ability to pass the required background check
• Must be a resident of Oklahoma
• Capability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week
• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours
• Availability to work during school hours, typically 9-5 or 8-4, or as specified by the school
• Experience with the specified age group
• Experience assisting adults and children with technology use
• Experience in teaching within an online (virtual) and/or traditional classroom environment
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data to inform instructional decisions
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and stay current in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
