Engineering Team Lead – EV Charging Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, providing ongoing feedback and guidance.

• Support the professional and personal growth of team members.

• Cultivate a culture of ownership, collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement.

• Establish clear objectives while promoting team health, motivation, and performance.

• Collaborate with the team to make informed technical and architectural decisions.

• Serve as a technical sparring partner, assisting in navigating complex technical challenges.

• Ensure the software's quality, reliability, maintainability, and observability.

• Stay closely connected to the technology and comprehend the systems being developed by the team.

• Engage in technical discussions and architecture contributions without being the primary developer.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and stakeholders.

• Translate product objectives into clear technical priorities.

• Balance technical excellence with business and customer requirements.

• Assist in planning and delivering enhancements and new features.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the engineering organization and its methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Practical leadership experience in guiding and developing software engineers.

• Experience in conducting regular one-on-ones, offering feedback, coaching, and facilitating individual development.

• Strong technical foundation.

• Ability to confidently engage in technical and architectural conversations.

• Experience in taking ownership and making decisions in complex or ambiguous scenarios.

• Collaborative and coaching-focused leadership style.

• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Pragmatic mindset coupled with a strong sense of ownership.

• Genuine passion for building products that create real-world impact.

• Experience with distributed systems, cloud technologies, IoT, or edge computing is a plus.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Rust, C++, or similar is a plus.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, observability, or modern cloud infrastructure is a plus.

• Background in energy, EV charging, mobility, or other complex infrastructure domains is a plus.
