• Lead a team of engineers, taking charge of delivery and the growth of the team.
• Foster continuous improvement through rapid iterations.

• Write and review code while contributing to key technical decisions.
• Influence architectural and technical design choices alongside senior individual contributors.
• Uphold engineering standards by conducting pull-request reviews and maintaining healthy release processes.
• Lead a team enhanced by AI capabilities.
• Take ownership of team commitments, planning, prioritization, roadmap, and delivery.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on project scope, sequencing, and trade-offs.
• Ensure alignment of engineering efforts with broader business goals.
• Adapt plans, priorities, and staffing as business needs evolve.
• Manage hiring, interviewing, recruiting, coaching, and performance assessments.
• Mentor fellow engineering managers and share effective operational practices.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, engineers, Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other departments.
• Over 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 4 years in managerial roles where hands-on coding was part of the responsibilities.
• Practical experience in developing cloud-based SaaS products and managing services in production for Azure; additional experience with AWS/GCP is preferred.
• Strong expertise in leading teams in the FinOps domain.
• API-first approach with experience in creating products accessible via APIs.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including full-stack engineers and data engineers.
• Proven ability to visibly transform engineering teams through measurable enhancements in delivery speed, technical quality, or team capability.
• Profound technical knowledge in the team's primary technology stack; capable of reading, writing, and reviewing code at a senior level.
• A well-defined philosophy on hiring, coaching, performance management, and making technical decisions.
• Exceptional judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Direct and candid communication style.
• Strong expertise in Golang or relevant experience (bonus).
• Established experience with AI-augmented workflows and the application of AI tools and agentic workflows (bonus).
• Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (bonus).
